OpenSSL 3.0 is a Long Term Support (LTS) release and will be supported until 7th September 2026. Previous OpenSSL 1.1.1 release reached End of Life (EOL) and will no longer be receiving publicly available security fixes. The OpenSSL 3.0 API has been changed, due to full backward compatibility requirement, both libraries will be still available in Tizen platform. Applications compiled for Tizen 7.0 and older versions will still work as expected. New applications should use the latest OpenSSL version only, which will provide the highest level of security.
